Tips | 3 Simple Steps to Optimize RAM Computer Devices

Random Access Memory, or more commonly called RAM may already know from the first pertermuan your PC. RAM is a main memory used to perform temporary storage when the computer is switched on. The function of the device is none other than as a support for the processor to melakukkan all computing processes. Speed and RAM capacity has a close relationship with the computer's performance.

Perhaps you have experienced previously, your RAM is already quite large, but the performance of the computer still does not meet the desire. You may need to do some optimization on RAM. The author has done some simple steps that were able to improve the performance of the RAM on your device.

Use Task Manager

One fairly simple way is to use the Task Manager on the operating system on your computer device. Through the Task Manager you can monitor all activities and processes running on your computer equipment. In addition, almost the entirety of the operating system is either Windows or Unix able to do sorting of sequence RAM usage largest to smallest.

To do access the Task Manager every operating system has a different way. For example, for Windows you can access the Task Manager did start right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager. Then you will get a window that displays monitor the whole process. Whereas if you penggunaa Linux, the more ways that you can apply in accordance with the desktop environment you use. For example, the author uses the Unity desktop environment to access the Task Manager by simply searching the System Monitor (on every desktop Linux environtment task manager has a different name).

Disable startup apps

This step is a step Advance after you monitor the entire process running on your computer. Application start-up is a whole program that will run automatically when the computer is turned on. The more programs on the run, of course, the process will also be more severe.

To overcome this, do disable startup applications. If you are a user of Windows 8 you can do it at the start up tab on the task manager, or through MSCONFIG if you are using Windows 7. If you are a linux user, you  can look at the whole startup through the terminal by:
?
1
2
3
sudo -i
cd /etc/xdg/autostart/
sudo sed --in-place 's/NoDisplay=true/NoDisplay=false/g' *.desktop

But you must be careful when disabling startup on Linux, because sometimes there are applications that are directly related to the operating system.

Third-Party Applications

This application is used option is not to speed up the performance of RAM, but the application should you use should also be in accordance with the needs. Suppose at some Antivirus are simultaneously used to tweak, but you do install the application again to make booster.

Currently for third-party applications, the authors use CCleaner on Windows, while on Linux (Ubuntu) using Ubuntu Tweak. This option is not the best, and you can pick apart of the two.
